Oranjebloesem 2017 will take place on Kingsday, April 27th. 12.00 until 20:00h. Doors will open at 11.30, and the music will stop at 20:00. Come early if you don’t want to stand in line!

On a beautiful peninsula with a stunning view lies Blijburg Aan Zee, the most idyllic city beach of Amsterdam. Oranjebloesem will take place again on the 27th April at this unique location for the second year running. Later in this FAQ you can find all relevant info regarding how to reach Blijburg.

Food and Drinks

There are multiple bars spread across the terrain where you can buy both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. There will also be food vans with a wide assortment of tasty and healthy food - including vegetarian options. You’re not permitted to bring your own food and drinks.

Tap water is available for free at specific points on the terrain.

If you have specific dietary requirements, and therefore need to bring certain food or drink, please bring a doctor’s note or something similar to apply for an exemption at the door.

We have e-lockers (medium and large sized) at Oranjebloesem available. This means you’ll receive a code instead of a key, and you don’t have to pay a deposit.

You can buy a locker in advance online so you don’t have to wait in line at the festival. You’ll receive your locker number and code via e-mail just before the event instead.

The medium sized locker costs €7 (2 to 3 coats) and are 25cm wide, 24.5 cm high and 50cm deep.

The large sized lockers costs €9 (4 to 5 coats) and are 25cm wide, 33,5 cm high and 50cm deep.

(Bad) weather plan

Two of the big stages are completely covered with tents. Whatever the weather gods may grace us with - bright sun or rain - you have the option to stand under cover and out of the wind.

UPDATE: The current forecast fluctuates between sun and some rain. If it turns out to be rainy we will place extra tents for shelter. We advice you to dress adequately for every situation - dress yourself in adjustable layers and having a rain coat + warm sweater with you is always handy!

Celebrate Safe

Celebrate King’s Day, but please do it in a safe and careful way. Check out the Celebrate Safe website for tips to party safely.

Smoking and cigarettes

Smoking is not allowed in the tents or under roofs. Please go outside before you light up your cigarette. It is possible to purchase cigarettes at the festival, from the lockers. Please do not throw away cigarette buds in the sand, this damages the environment. Use the provided trash cans.

Hearing protection

Please take care of your ears! With music above 87 dB it is smart to use earplugs with a special music filter. With these earplugs you can still hear the music perfectly, conversations remain intelligible and most important of all, you prevent hearing damage and the annoying ringing after the event. In addition the Alpine PartyPlug earplugs are super comfortable. During Oranjebloesem Alpine PartyPlug earplugs will be available at all the cash desks. The PartyPlug earplugs are reusable, so you can protect your ears not only at naam evenement but on other festivals as well. Love your ears!

Blijburg aan Zee is a city beach and unfortunately not easily accessible with wheelchairs. With a specific beach wheelchair the whole terrain is accessible. There is also a disabled toilet.
